Matthew Ramirez
Matthew Ramirez is a composer and trombonist based in San Antonio, Texas. Ramirez is a graduate of Texas Tech University, and studied music composition with professors Dr. Hideki Isoda, Dr. Peter Fischer, and Dr. John Boyle. Ramirez graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Music Composition.
Ramirez has had his music performed by various groups, such as the Texas Tech University Symphony Orchestra, Texas Tech Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the Texas Tech Red Raider Collective, and the Flatland Low Brass Choir.
An avid musician, Matthew has played with numerous collegiate groups, such as the Texas Tech University Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, Red Raider Collective, Jazz Ensemble I, and the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to writing, Matthew is the founder and director of The North East Wind Symphony in San Antonio, TX.
